The Standlake Players cordially invite you to attend the performance of 'There Goes the Bride' by Ray Cooney and John Chapman.
Timothy Westerby is a stressed advertising executive, and on the morning of his daughter Judy’s wedding he's feeling the pressure to deliver a new women's underwear campaign. Those around him, including his wife Ursula, business partner Bill, and parents-in-law Gerald and Daphne, aren't helping.
As the service draws near, Tim hits his head, twice, and things descend into a riot of 1920s-themed mayhem inspired by a flapper called Polly. Will Tim's family manage to control the situation and arrive at the church on time? Will the father of the groom, Mr Babcock, keep his blood pressure under control? Find out this May in a farce that will have you laughing in the aisle!
Doors open at 7pm.
